SOLD OUT Smash!
Last night I was joined at world famous Birdland Jazz Club by some of my incredibly talented cast mates from The Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway in a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The concert, for those of you who didn't hear about it was called:
The Cast of Phantom sings Andrew Llyod Webber.
And that's exactly what we did.
Last nights SOLD OUT crowd got to hear some of the most amazing songs by one of the world's most prolific and most successful Broadway composers. Songs ranging from SONG AND DANCE, CATS, LOVE NEVER DIES, STEPHEN WARD, ASPECTS OF LOVE and more.
Singing with me last night were, Bronson Norris Murphy, Laird Mackintosh, Elizabeth Welch (joined by her daughter Vivian on a beautiful duet), Katharine Heaton, Kaley Ann Voorhees and POTO Alumni Patricia Phillips with David Lai as our Musical Director.
Here's a link to a great story on the concert (with photos) from BroadwayWorld.com
The goal of this series of concerts which started with last nights Andrew Llyod Webber tribute, is to present the Cast of Phantom singing the music of a different Broadway composer in stand alone events all benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
To that end we are pleased to announce that our next concert will feature the music of Broadway Composer Frank Wildhorn.
The date for this concert will be announced very shortly so please sign up for the Free James Barbour Newsletter to make sure you stay connected with us.
