TV Star Milena Govich

Milena Govich will be joining me tomorrow night (Tuesday) with Kevin Earley and Katie Thompson....

Milena first gained attention for her recurring role as Candy on the FX series Rescue Me, starring Denis Leary, and she recently returned to the series for its fifth and sixth seasons to reprise her role.

Prior to that, Govich played Lyndsay Swann on the Fox show K-ville, starring Anthony Anderson and Cole Hauser. She is perhaps best known for her role of Nina Cassady, the first female detective on the Emmy award-winning series Law & Order. She also starred as Assistant District Attorney Jessica Rossi on Dick Wolf’s legal drama Conviction. She will appear in the feature film Sordid Things, and most recently co-starred opposite Steve Guttenberg in the upcoming romantic comedy, It’s Not You, scheduled to be released next year.

Govich, a native of Norman, Oklahoma, was the valedictorian of her high school class before she completed a double major in vocal performance and pre-med at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, she moved to New York and found herself singing, dancing, acting, and playing the violin in her first Broadway role as Lulu in the musical “Cabaret” (she later played the role of central character Sally Bowles).

Following that, Govich was featured in the Broadway runs of “The Boys from Syracuse” and “Good Vibrations”, and also traveled to China where she appeared in a series of rock concerts with the country’s top recording artist, Fei Xiang.
